Dr. William Han performed a Total Hysterectomy Surgery on August of 2012 at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital. Dr. Han did an excellent surgery removing my large uterus, because I had severe prolapse and repaired my bladder. My recovery time was fantastic. I was feeling better in four weeks.
I had my six month check up with Dr. Han, and everything healed well and my bladder is working great.

I would like to thank you so much for recommending to me the procedure “Nerve Sparing Abdominal Hysterectomy. It has just been a little over a year since the surgery on January 8, 2005 and want to let you know that the surgery was everything you said it would be.
I have had a very quick and easy recovery which was a major concern because of my diabetes and the problems that comes with this disease and healing. My recovery was much quicker and less painful than I expected.
My other concern was the loss of bladder control, I was told by friends that that is a problem that comes with most hysterectomies. I have had no control loss what so ever. I have the same control as I did before the surgery. This procedure is marvelous. I can honestly say that I can cough, sneeze and laugh without worry or embarrassment.
You have been marvelous through this entire process and appreciate all you have given me before the surgery and that continues even a year after.

On November 8, 2004 I underwent a Hysterectomy with a new “Nerve Saving Technique.” Iam a 43 year old married female and had been suffering with uterine fibroids that compromised my quality of life. After discussing all of the options with gynecologist, Dr. William Han, I elected to have the surgery. Dr. Han explained by saving the nerves, it would likely save me from having bladder control problems or a decrease in libido.
It has now been approximately two months since the surgery. My healing process was virtually painless and I am extremely pleased with the results. My bladder and bodily functions are all normal. My sex life has actually improved. I want to share my experience to get the word out to other women that there are options other than total hysterectomy. I also want to thank Dr. Han for not only being a great doctor, but for caring about my quality of life.

It’s March 18 and I am almost two months from my Nerve Saving Hysterectomy on January 23rd this year.
I must admit I was very apprehensive about the idea of surgery, of any kind, but I can honestly say this was the best thing I could have done for myself.
I feel better than I have in several years. After two days in the hospital and after a good nights sleep in my own bed, I felt very good and very relieved. I felt like I could go back to work right away but took Dr. Han’s advice and stayed home for a few weeks.
As an outside sales representative I have to have a lot of energy and mobility for my job.

I had a urinary incontinence disorder due to natural delivery and I decided to the surgery with Dr. Han. He is knowledgeable and explained to me everything patiently. I feel better now. Can you imagine being completely free from urinary incontinence? That became reality after I underwent outpatient Nerve-Sparing Burch-Sling procedure performed by Dr. Han, William urogynecologist based in Fountain Valley California.
For six years following childbirth, I struggled with mixed urinary incontinence with pelvic organ prolapse which required daily use of sanitary pads and activity limitation with the fear of urinary leakage. It was a significantly distressing condition that deeply affected my quality of life.
I tried several conservative therapies including Kegel exercise, PTNS (Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation) and PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) injection to the urethra which did not improve ideally. My hope was simply to improve my quality of life with the hope of resolution of the urinary incontinence.
Thank you to Dr. Han, I had wonderful results from the Nerve-Sparing Burch-Sling procedure. The minimally invasive procedure involved two small incisions on either side of my pelvis and was followed by smooth recovery with only mild discomfort. Foley catheter care and bladder training instruction were straightforward, and the catheter was removed after one week without complications.
The moment the catheter was removed, I noticed my incontinence has been resolved. I gradually increased activity levels to full activity. I have not had any experience of urinary incontinence for over one year post procedure – not even one drop of urinary leakage with any types of activities. Additionally, I have experienced no issues with sexual function post-surgery.
My hope was fulfilled beyond expectation. The procedure truly transformed my life. I emphatically recommend the Nerve-Sparing Burch-Sling procedure for women suffering from urinary incontinence. It gave me confidence, freedom, and quality of life back.

Seven weeks ago, I underwent a Burch sling surgery with Dr. Han, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The procedure was a success – my incontinence is completely gone! After the surgery, I went home with a catheter to help retain my bladder. While it was a bit challenging as first, it was absolutely worth it.
Throughout the recovery process, Dr. Han was incredibly supportive. Anytime I had questions or concerns, he promptly returned my calls and provided clear guidance, which made me feel reassured and well cared for.

On April 9, 2025 Dr. William Han performed surgery to treat urinary leakage and uterine prolapse. It was an important and long-awaked step, preceded by a course of bladder treatment.
On the day of the surgery, everything went smoothly: it started at 12:30 PM, and by 2:30 AM, I had already woken up from anesthesia feeling light and well. The medical team took great care of my during the first 24 hours – with kindness, attentiveness, and compassion. Thank God, there were no complications, and I was able to return home the very next day. My recovery at home was also peaceful. On the 9th day, Dr. Han removed the catheter.
Now, more than seven weeks have passed, and I feel wonderful. There is no more leakage – and I had been using daily pads for over 17 years because of this issue. My periods, which used to be very heavy, have become more moderate and comfortable.
Thank you Dr. William Han! You truly have golden hands. Thanks to you, I live with ease and joy again.
