- Reversible procedure.
- Cost-effective.
- Allows for multiple techniques and procedures, such as incontinence surgery and correction of pelvic organ prolapses
- Alternative or replacement surgical techniques to mess-based procedures: TOT, TVT, Altis sling, etc. (Many published complications, high failure rates, and difficulty and removing mesh).

- Easy learning curve for surgeons. The tension of the suture is easy to adjust when tying, and the assistant can place a finger on the UVJ for guidance.
Burch Sling surgery using the TriLift device:
Essentially creates a sling band, which is postoperatively autogenously formed into a connective tissue suspensory ligament by the patient’s own tissue. The ligament, created with non-absorbable sutures, lifts the perineal and pelvic muscles upward toward the pelvic brim in order to restore the original anatomical position typical of a pre-gravida patient.
The end results of Burch Sling surgery using the TriLift are:
- Increased length of the urethra.
- Decreased posterior urethrovesical angle (UVA).
- Increased resistance at the urethrovesical junction (UVJ).
